Marahau is the gateway to the world famous Abel Tasman National Park. Aqua Taxi is located approximately 800 mtrs from the track entrance. Marahau has a long sweeping beach which offers safe swimming for the whole family. From the beach you can see the offshore Islands Fishermans and Adele Island. Aqua Taxi offers the only purpose built base to depart into the park from. We also offer secure car parking.

      You will pass several off-shore islands which provide a protected habitat for native wildlife. You will see lots of interesting rocky outcrops and rock formations. Sandfly Bay and Falls River are beautiful spots. On a high tide (and time dependent) you can go up Falls River and see the people walking across the Swing Bridge. Your walk starts from Bark Bay past the Falls River Bridge, through Torrent Bay and Anchorage. In the last part of the trip you walk past some of the Abel Tasman’s most scenic beaches.

      Cruise on Aqua Taxi to Torrent Bay, walk to Onetahuti Beach and meet the Aqua Taxi again. Return to Marahau/Kaiteriteri via the Seal Colony. This walking section of track is considered the most picturesque section of the park. The track crosses the only swing bridge in the park - 47 m in length - Falls River Swing Bridge. At Tonga Quarry you can see still remnants of the quarry and see leftover drilled slabs of granite. Your skipper will stop at Tonga or Pinnacle Island to view the seals after picking you up at Onetahuti.
